Vietnamese: Inherited Identity
The exhibition presents thirty watercolor paintings depicting scenes and motifs from Vietnam — from landscapes to moments of everyday life. It is a personal reflection on heritage, belonging, and the emotional landscape of the artist’s homeland.
“This exhibition is a return to my roots. A reflection on the cultural and emotional landscape I was born into. The paintings depict not only places in Vietnam, but also the quiet presence of inherited memories, traditions, and a sense of belonging.
It is a preview of a larger project titled Acquired Identity: Between Vietnam and Poland, and a tribute to the part of me that was given, not chosen.” – says Minh Dam.
The exhibition serves as a prologue to a broader artistic exploration of identity between two cultures — Asian and European — and their intersection in modern life.
